About Cummins Training Center
 
The Cummins Training Center continues today as a pacesetter in helping end users getting trained on Cummins products. Since its inception in 1976, the basic objective is to raise the potential of the learner by sharing the application of principles of technical skills for achieving excellence in Productivity and Performance.

We strive to provide solutions which embrace the technical needs of our and users. The training imparted is on systematic planning and professionally carrying out operations, maintenance and rebuild of Cummins Products.

This learner-centered training keeps the maintenance people abreast of continuous product improvement and maintenance practices. The benefits to our Customers... value addition, for both their employees as well as their Cummins Products.
The 2009-10 end users training schedule offers you courses designed for Cummins engines powering Gensets, Construction and other applications. A total of 27 courses have been scheduled from April 2009 to March 2010.

Our professional trainers, proficient in English and Hindi, conduct the courses in a friendly and formal atmosphere.The ultra modern education materials used during the training courses allow each participant to gain maximum knowledge.We are confident that our patrons will find learning 'a pleasure'.
The sponsors may select a suitable course for their candidates from the course schedule given in this brochure.
 
Course Material Fee
 
The required training material and literature will be provided to each candidate. A nominal fee will be charged per candidate to cover training course material as mentioned earlier under the Course Descriptions in this publication. It is essential to send course material fees along with the enrollment form. A Demand Draft per candidate per course, should be drawn on a nationalized bank in favor of Cummins Sales and Service (India) Limited and payable at Pune.
If additional literature is required, it will be made available to the candidate at an extra cost.
 
Eligibility and Enrollment Procedure Top
 
  1. The candidates should be sponsored by actual users of Cummins engines.
  2. Fill in the enrollment form with all correct details.
  3. Forward the enrollment request along with D.D. & covering letter to Cummins Sales and Service (India) Limited, Pune 411038, so as to reach us at least four (4) weeks in advance from the date of commencement of the selected course. The application duly filled should be forwarded along with a covering letter necessarily on the sponsoring company's letter head, (In case of more applicants, use photocopies of the application form.)
  4. Upon the receipt of enrollment form at Pune, allocation will be made for specific or alternate training programme on first come first serve basis.
  5. Candidates are to be deputed only after receipt of confirmation from Cummins Training Department.
  6. In case the student does not avail the course allotted to him, an alternate course at a later date will be offered and no refund will be made.
  7. The course may be cancelled if the enrollment is less than 8 and the candidates will be duly informed. Such candidates will be enrolled in a subsequent (same) course with prior intimation.
 
Special Training at Site or at Cummins Top
 
Training courses designed to suit every individual customer's requirements, can be arranged at customer site or at our Pune office. In addition to the scheduled types of courses we can arrange training courses on Gas, Dual fuel, QSK engines maintenance, Cylinder Head Rebuild, and controls like ECPG, PCC etc.

Correspondence Courses Top
 
Cummins Service Training offers a unique correspondence course on diesel engines. Correspondence course part I is designed to provide a better understanding of basic diesel engine operation, which will help in organized preventive maintenance. In addition, the basics electricity is also covered.
 
On successful completion of the correspondence course part I, an individual could register for Part II, which would enhance professional skills to rebuild / recondition Cummins Diesel engines and workshop facilities. A student can enroll himself by sending a Demand Draft payable to Cummins Sales and Service (India) Limited, Pune, to cover the cost of course material.

Part I -Rs. 1250/- and Part II –Rs. 1500/- (Exclusive for End User personnel only)
 
Cut Models Top
 
The cut models of engine / components give an insight of working principles and thus very little are left to the student's imagination.


Any enquiry about Training Material and Publications, which are available at a nominal price, can be directed to the Area Dealer.
 
Literature Top
 
A wide range of training materials in the form of rebuild manuals, class notes and wall charts is available. We also offer Self Learning CD's, Books viz., engine familiarization, trouble-shooting, rebuild and failure analysis.
