Impact India Foundation (IIF)established in 1983, is the oldest and largest of a worldwide network of 16 Foundations focused on the prevention and correction of disabilities. IIF concentrates on disability prevention. IIF’s best known project is “Lifeline Express”, a fully equipped and modern hospital in four railway coaches and has three operating tables therein. Uptill now IIF has performed innumerable surgeries and given treatment to the persons living in remotest parts of rural India. Lifeline Express has concentrated on mobility to those disabled by polio, hearing to the deaf, vision to the blind and normal appearance to those with cleft lips or palates free of cost. IIF has won international acclaim including United Nations Grand Award and Gold Medal at Expo 2000 at Hannover, Germany.

We have installed 2 nos. gensets powered with Cummins engines on this rail in the year 1991. Out of which one engine needed replacement and IIF requested Cummins for replacement. Cummins Foundation has helped IIF by donating partial cost of Diesel Generating sets for this Lifeline Express and takes pride in getting associated with this noble cause.
